Before you start
If there is no supported Cast control, use a compatible player directly on the receiver or another documented method. Do not assume screen mirroring is equivalent.
A practical way through
- Choose the login method supported by that edition of the player and your supplied account. Similar app names do not guarantee identical features or publishers.
- Use the Cast control inside an app that supports the receiver. Screen mirroring and native casting are different features and may behave differently.
- Put the phone and receiver on the same local network. Guest Wi-Fi or client isolation can prevent discovery even when both devices reach the internet.
- On iPhone, check the app’s local-network permission and any relevant receiver setting. Reopen both apps after changing permissions.
- Restart both sending and receiving devices, then try again with them near the router. A receiver that is off or on another network will not appear.
Check the result
Test one live channel and, where available, one on-demand item. Check picture, sound and navigation. If the result is different from what you expected, note the exact error before changing another setting.
