Before you start
webOS is not Android. If an app is not offered for your TV, ask about a supported alternative or an external device rather than searching for an APK.
A practical way through
- Open your device’s settings and record its exact model, operating system and software version. A familiar brand name alone is not enough to choose an app.
- Open Apps or LG Content Store on your LG TV and search there. webOS uses its own apps; Android packages do not install on webOS.
- Check whether the player needs a separate licence. Paying for an app does not buy a content subscription, and buying a subscription does not automatically unlock every app.
- Ask support which input your approved player needs: a playlist URL, account fields or a portal. Enter only the details supplied for your account.
- Test one stream on one device first. Then add other devices within your confirmed simultaneous-connection allowance.
Check the result
Test one live channel and, where available, one on-demand item. Check picture, sound and navigation. If the result is different from what you expected, note the exact error before changing another setting.
Still need a hand?
