Before you start
Use official listings and avoid unexplained firmware bundles. A phone app that installs may still be difficult to operate with a television remote.
A practical way through
- Open your device’s settings and record its exact model, operating system and software version. A familiar brand name alone is not enough to choose an app.
- On Google TV, search in the Apps area. On Android TV, use Google Play. Install a player only when its listing supports your device.
- Use the device’s official app store or the developer’s documented download source. Check the developer name so you do not install a lookalike.
- Ask support which input your approved player needs: a playlist URL, account fields or a portal. Enter only the details supplied for your account.
- Test one stream on one device first. Then add other devices within your confirmed simultaneous-connection allowance.
Check the result
Test one live channel and, where available, one on-demand item. Check picture, sound and navigation. If the result is different from what you expected, note the exact error before changing another setting.
Still need a hand?
