Before you start
A successful VLC test shows that the source can play in that environment. It does not prove that another TV player supports the same account or codecs.
A practical way through
- Choose an app from the Microsoft Store, Mac App Store or the official developer website. Confirm support for your operating system and processor.
- Use the device’s official app store or the developer’s documented download source. Check the developer name so you do not install a lookalike.
- In VLC on desktop, use Media or File, then Open Network Stream. Paste the authorised playlist or media address and start playback.
- Copy the complete address carefully, including its protocol and any case-sensitive token. Avoid extra spaces, and never post the address publicly.
- Check the playlist view to choose a channel. VLC is useful for playback checks, but its television guide and account experience differ from dedicated TV players.
Check the result
Test one live channel and, where available, one on-demand item. Check picture, sound and navigation. If the result is different from what you expected, note the exact error before changing another setting.
